Family farm raising premium sustainably grown oysters for your table, fresh out of Aransas Bay.

Captain Lori grew up in Southern Central Oklahoma, the youngest of 5 children, and was always right along side of her father, helping him with any task. As a result, when she married Captain Kevin in 1995 (Captain Kevin has been on the water here since 1972 when his father built a small cabin on an island in Ayers Bay), boating, birding, fishing have always been high on the list of things to do with the family. From the first trip to the Rockport/Fulton area, she immediately fell in love with the laid-back way of life and with the beauty and wildlife that the Aransas Bay system provides. 

As their children grew, Captain Lori and Captain Kevin saw how the bay systems were changing for for the worse and decided they wanted to help conserve the ecosystems. When they learned about oyster farming from the other farmers, Captain Lori and her daughters (Ashley and Kilee), learned all they could to start an oyster farm themselves and thus Shuck 'em Up Oyster Company was born. Together the three of them own and operate the company, farm raising gorgeous premium sustainably grown oysters for the future generations of our town.
